DIAGNOSIS & ASSESSMENT
Diagnosing Gender Dysphoria (GD) can be complex, often requiring specialist knowledge and experience, with attention to wider psychological and emotional functioning.
While there is no "test" for GD, a vast literature of scientific research has shown that GD may be reliably considered as a constellation of specific characteristics present in varying degrees in different individuals. Specialist assessment can elucidate factors unique to one person's gender-related distress or that may be worthy of attention when planning a treatment protocol.
A diagnostic assessment is usually done in person and takes about an hour. To book an appointment, call or click the button below to make a request.
